Our Men’s Shed is a community-based, non-commercial organisation which is open to all men from Midleton and the surrounding region.
The primary activity of our ‘shed’ is the provision of a safe, friendly and inclusive environment where we are able to gather and/or work on meaningful projects at our own pace, in our own time and in the company of other men, and where the primary objective is to advance the health and well-being of our participating men.  It is also a place to chat, have a cuppa, play a game of cards, or just relax and enjoy the company of like-minded men.
Men’s sheds may look like a shed in your back yard yet they innovatively share some characteristics of both community education and health promotion projects.

We are affiliated to the Irish Men’s Shed Association (IMSA), from which we get direction and assistance with setting up and running our shed. In these times of Corona Virus, we have taken all the advice from the HSA and IMSA into account in reopening our shed ‘post covid’

Men’s Sheds are a global phenomenon, and in addition to more than 400 across the island of Ireland, with over 10,000 members, our ‘shedder’ comrades can be found all across the UK and as far afield as Australia.

The numbers are growing all the time, as awareness grows regarding Men’s Health and Men’s Welfare issues.
